About MLS 2026
MLS 2026 is the 31st season of the leading American top flight, the highest level of professional club football in the United States and Canada. Thirty clubs compete from late February through early December in a single-table regular season split into Eastern and Western conferences. The season is scheduled around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is being hosted across North America.
Competition Format
The regular season runs from 21 February to 7 November 2026, with each team playing 34 matches. The Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs follow from 18 November to 18 December 2026.

Teams and History
Inter Miami enter the season as defending MLS Cup champions after lifting their first league title in 2025. The league features major markets such as LAFC, LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, Columbus Crew, Atlanta United, New York Red Bulls, and expansion San Diego FC.
MLS was founded in 1993 and began play in 1996. LA Galaxy and D.C. United are among the most decorated clubs in league history, while Inter Miami's 2025 triumph marked a new chapter in the league's growth.
